The Chester Public Library will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing with this year’s summer reading program: A Universe of Stories.

The program will include space-themed programs and an incentive-based reading challenge for all ages. The library is using an online application called ReadSquared, in addition to paper reading logs this year to track books read over the summer.

Participants who sign up at the library will receive a registration prize. Those who turn in completed reading logs will be entered for a raffle drawing.

The raffle winner will receive a brand new telescope.

The program will kick off with Animal Embassy’s Over the Moon Animal Adventure at The Chester Meetinghouse, 4 Liberty Street, Chester, on Tuesday, June 25 at 1 p.m. More information is available by calling 860-526-0018 or visiting chesterct.org/library or the library’s Facebook page.
