Author Lee Jacobus Discusses His Latest at Breakwater


Breakwater Books will host author Lee Jacobus for a book talk on his newest novel, The Romantic Soul of Emma Now, at the bookstore, 81 Whitfield Street, Guilford on Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Jacobus taught Renaissance English and modern Irish literature at the University of Connecticut in Storrs for more than 30 years. He and Joanna Jacobus have lived along the shoreline since 1982. His books include Hawaiian Tales: The Girl with Heavenly Eyes (set in Kaui, Maui, Oahu, and the Big Island), Crown Island (set in Stony Creek), A World of Ideas, and numerous academic titles. For 10 years, he was on Faith Middleton’s Book Show, broadcast on WNPR.
