05/16/2019 12:01 AMShoreline Arts Alliance will host its Rising STAR Summer Theater Experience in Guilford in July, serving children from ages 7 to 14.
The program will take place on the Guilford Green from Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day. On Friday there will be a noon performance on the Guilford Green for family and friends.
The theme for this summer will be “Getting Dramatic: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Replant!” Participants will explore the concepts behind the “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replant” slogan and will learn about the roles people can play in recycling. Using all recycled materials, participants will create an artistic set and create original commercials about recycling using dance and movement, music, and theatrical staging.
All registration forms are available on the Shoreline Arts Alliance website at www.shorelinearts.org/rising-stars. The early bird registration fee is $250 and is available until Friday, June 14.
