The story centers around four longtime friends, whose lives are enmeshed in ways revealed as the novel progresses. Hadley captures all the messiness and complexity of long-shared histories. Her fantastic writing gives life to each character as she reveals their past and present circumstances and weaves a story of choice, loss, and change that you won’t be able to put down.
