NASA Satellites, Science, and Societal Benefit Topic of Discussion During Branford Form

The Branford Forum will present a discussion by Dr. Michael Freilich, director, NASA Earth Science Division, on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. at the Willoughby Wallace Library, 146 Thimble Island Road, Branford. The title of the talk is “Looking Down on the Earth: Satellites, Science, and Societal Benefit.”

NASA satellites carry instruments critical for monitoring weather, climate, air pollution, as well as the impact of clean air policies. Freilich will illuminate how NASA uses the unique vantage point of space to learn about environmental evolution on our planet.
