John McCurry, Scott Kirby Playing at Wharf Unplugged

John McCurry is scheduled to play at The Wharf on Thursday, Jan. 17 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., and Scott Kirby on Thursday, March 22 to 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Madison Beach Hotel, 9 West Wharf Road, Madison. Reservations are encouraged and can be made by calling 203-350-0014.

McCurry is a guitarist, vocalist, and composer. He has worked with Cindy Lauper and Julian Lennon. He also was a composer on 119 albums. His style of music varies from pop and rock to classical, and he has also written songs for films and television.

Kirby is an acoustic guitarist and performing singer/ songwriter based in Key West, Florida. He has released seven CDs and his music is regularly heard on Sirius Radio Margaritaville. He has co-written with Russ Kunkel, Peter Mayer, Roger Guth, and others and his musician style is folk-rock and Americana. He has appeared with Jimmy Buffett, Carol King, Darius Rucker, Livingston Taylor, Tom Rush, Mac McAnally, Keith Sykes, and tours regularly with his band as well as solo. He sometimes tours with Peter Mayer with their acoustic group. He is a partner in The Smokin Tuna Saloon, Key West’s top music club.
