Wilderness Survival Skills Workshop Offered

The Deep River Land Trust (DRLT) and Bushy Hill Nature Center will combine forces on Sunday, Nov. 18 for a complimentary environmental education opportunity. All are welcome at the Bushy Hill Nature Center for a botanical tour through the cedar swamp and workshops on wilderness survival skills, interpreting trail maps, and exploring the outdoors by geocaching or with mobile app games and organism ID tools.

This event will be held at the Bushy Hill Nature Center, 253 Bushy Hill Road, Deep River. from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18. Light food and drink will be provided and admission is free.

Activities are designed for both children and adults. Breaks will include snacks, cider, and a chance to network and learn more about other DRLT and Bushy Hill programs. Those who are interested are asked to RSVP to deepriverlandtrust@gmail.com.
