As I perused the menu, I noted a couple of Oktoberfest offerings, including one that had chicken livers with gravy, sauerkraut, and mashed potatoes, all for $10. It was absolutely exactly what I wanted: four or five big livers with bacon, nice gravy, a big portion of sauerkraut (more sweet than tangy), and just the right amount of potatoes. I asked my waitress if this would be available during the month of November. She asked. It would! So those who, like me, love liver, hie yourself to The Hideaway soon.—Lee White
