Nibbles: Pick Pockets

Friends have been asking me if I’d gone to Pick Pockets in Groton. I hadn’t, even though it is a simple right turn before I drive to my closest Stop & Shop. Last week I wanted something light and easy, and there is nothing easier than a grinder and a side for dinner.

I ordered, from the vegetarian side, a terrific whole wheat pita with eggplant, mozzarella, crispy lettuce, roasted red peppers, and tomatoes with Pick Pockets’s own balsamic vinaigrette. I also added a half-pint of really good tabbouleh. In addition to vegetarian, the huge menu includes chicken, seafood, and beef pitas, plus salads and side orders. Inside there is plenty of room to sit and eat and the surroundings are so bright and perky that you might decide to plunk yourself down and have your meal there.
