07/19/2018 12:01 AMThe Madison Happiness Club will present Ruth Sullo whose topic is Discover Your Inner DaVinci!, on Wednesday July 25, 7 p.m., at Hubley Hall right next to the First Congregational Church, 2 Meeting House Lane, on the Madison green.
Discover Your Inner DaVinci! involves art, math, and creativity designed to allow people to see math and art in a new light. In this session Sullo teaches participants how to shift their way of thinking so that they can do both math and art, and to be able to think in more flexible ways.
Sullo is a veteran math teacher, with 33 years in the classroom, 23 of them in urban schools, 10 in suburban schools. In addition, she is a speaker and an artist, and has taught classes in watercolor, drawing, calligraphy, and Celtic art. Sullo is also known Square Ruth, a nickname given to her by her students several years ago. Her website is www.squareruth.com.
