10/05/2017 12:01 AMThe Shoreline Greenway Trail is hosting its First Saturday Walk on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. in at the Shoreline Greenway Trail trailhead at Mansfield Grove Road and Hoop Pole Lane, East Haven.
This family activity ideal for the kids will include a guided interpretive trail walk on the wooded and picturesque Shoreline Greenway Trail. There will be opportunities to observe cave formations, osprey nests, and water views of Farm River.
Directions: Meet at SGT trailhead located at Mansfield Grove Roa. and Hoop Pole Lane. From Route 142 west, take a left onto Mansfield Grove Road to stop sign, the go right onto Hoop Pole Lane followed by a quick left to trailhead parking area. Additional parking is available on Hoop Lane, the first parking area at the school on the left. From Coe Avenue, take a left on Myrtle Street, then a right at the stop sign, and a left on Elliot Street, taking the second right to school parking area or to trailhead.
