Fire in the Kitchen Presents Mike Marshall, Darol Anger in Rare Appearance

Fire in the Kitchen Concerts will present Mike Marshall and Darol Anger in concert on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. at the North Madison Congregational Church, 1271 Durham Road, Madison.

Tickets are $30 for adults, and $5 for children high school aged and younger. This concert will benefit Charlie’s Closet in Guilford, which provides recycled medical assistance equipment including wheelchairs, and walkers. The last Fire in the Kitchen concert provided about $240 in funds for the local land trust.

“Fire in the Kitchen Concerts is thrilled to present Darol Anger and Mike Marshall in a very rare appearance, one of only a handful over the past few years,” says Charlie Shafer of Fire in the Kitchen. “Attempting to list all their accomplishments and to describe their influence would take a long book, but suffice it to say they made it both possible and exciting to take classical conservatory skills and apply it to virtually every genre of music out there. It’s a rare treat to be able to hear two living masters who are not only responsible for the way so much music is played today, but who are also playing better than ever.”
