Wow. Just Wow

So I was asked to bring an appetizer to a party recently and I went into Madison Cheese Shop, 119 Samson Rock Drive, Madison, looking for a recommendation. They offered me a small sample of Nancy’s Hudson Valley Camembert from the Old Chatham Sheepherding Co., in Old Chatham, New York. This particular camembert is made from a blend of sheep’s milk, cow’s milk, and cow’s cream. The folks at the cheese shop topped it with a small dollop of L’Abeille Occitane Lavender Honey. I tasted it, and thought, “wow.” I took the cheese and honey home, with a baguette from Centerbrook’s Howard’s Bread, which is also sold at the cheese shop. And, honestly folks, it didn’t last the night. My daughter and I “tested it” and ended up eating it for dinner. I reloaded the next day, took it to the party, and my friends had the same reaction I did. Wow. Just wow. If you want to try it, call the cheese shop first to make sure they have it in stock, 203-245-5168.
