09/28/2017 12:01 AMOn Sunday, Oct. 1 at 4 p.m. at the new Morgan School Auditorium, 71 Killingworth Turnpike, Clinton, the George Flynn Classical Concerts series will present the Wallingford Symphony Orchestra (WSO) under the baton of Maestro Philip T. Ventre.
With a home base at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, the WSO is celebrating its 43rd season of presenting professional musicians performing a wide variety of orchestral music. In anticipation of his 100th birthday in 2018, the WSO will perform the best-known theater and film works of Leonard Bernstein. Selections will include music from the shows Candide, On The Town, and West Side Story and the symphonic suite from the movie On The Waterfront.
