Cam’z Cone’z Openz

A few years back, Wendi Oranzo’s brother-in-law bought a building in North Madison, and couldn’t decide what to do with the space in the back. He started talking with Wendi’s husband, Dave, and they decided North Madison could use its own ice cream shop. So far, North Madison agrees. Oranzo says the first few weeks after the opening of Cam’z Cone’z in late August were busy, with cookie monster ice cream (it’s blue, of course) emerging as a favorite for kids who are visiting. Other fan favorites include the Zac brownie sundae, and the peanut butter pawz sundae for chocolate/peanut butter lovers. They also offer “milk shakez,” “root beer floatz,” and frozen yogurt. And, since ‘tis the season, they have pumpkin ice cream of course. Want to check it out? Stop by the Sunoco gas station, 1276 Durham Road, Madison, right off of the traffic circle in North Madison, at the intersection of Routes 79 and 80.
