Nibbles: Garlic Bread with Eggs, Tomato


Here is one more meal to make with fresh local tomatoes:

Cut a loaf of very good bread into 1-inch thick slices. Dribble olive oil and salt on each side. Grill the bread on each side (on your Weber or on a rack on a 400 degree oven). When cooled a bit, grate raw garlic on one side. Every morning, top each with a slice of tomato and top that with a poached or soft-boiled egg, Have a terrific breakfast. Or lunch.
