A Little Summer Something for Everyone


Liv’s Oyster Bar is a great place to go if you love oysters, obviously, and seafood. But what if one of your party tends more towards carnivore? No worries. Its current summer menu includes a generous serving of house smoked baby back ribs with a tamarind barbecue sauce, sautéed Swiss chard, and a warm potato salad. For those who like surf and turf, there’s a creative twist on that with Liv’s ramen bowl, packed with pork belly, clams, shitake mushrooms, and a soy egg, all served in a savory mushroom broth. For traditionalists, there’s a New England seafood roast that includes lobster, shrimp, scallops, potatoes, sausage, corn, and herb butter. In other words, Chef and owner John Brescio is providing a little bit of something for everything. Liv’s is located at 166 Main Street, Old Saybrook.
