The trailer for the upcoming Sundance sensation Call Me By Your Name based on the 2007 novel by Andre Aciman and starring Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer, and directed by Luca Guadagnino (A Bigger Splash), has just been released. The film about 17 year-old Elio Perlman (Chalamet) spending the summer with his family in Italy only for him to fall for a young intern of his father (Michael Stuhlbarg) named Ollie (Armie Hammer), looks like it’ll be a beautifully shot and harmonious coming-of-age love story set against the backdrop of an exotic locale.

Also, coming off the heels of the Moonlight, the first LGBTQ+ film to ever win Best Picture, Call Me By Your Name could find itself a surefire Oscar contender for categories like Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor for Timothee Chalamet, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor for Michael Stuhlbarg and/or Armie Hammer. Perhaps Best Cinematography as well because of how gorgeous it looks.

To sum up excitement for this film, which I cannot contain, all I have to say is...Emozionante! It is set for release on Friday, Nov. 24.
