Con Brio Choral Society Auditions Coming Up

Auditions for the Con Brio Choral Society will be held Tueday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m., St. Paul Lutheran Church, 56 Great Hammock Road, Old Saybrook.

The Con Brio Choral Society is a 70-member auditioned, classical chorus with singers coming from 15 Connecticut towns from Madison to Chester and from towns east of the Connecticut River. The chorus is directed by Dr. Stephen Bruce and performs in concert with professional soloists and chamber orchestra at Christ the King Church in Old Lyme. Rehearsals are held on Tuesdays from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 56 Great Hammock Road, Old Saybrook.

Con Brio’s Christmas season concerts are scheduled for Saturday evening, Dec. 9 and Sunday afternoon, Dec. 10 and will feature Magnificat by John Rutter as well as Christmas carols and more. The spring season concert will be on April 15 and will feature the Lord Nelson Mass by Franz Josef Haydn.
