An Afternoon of Food and Puppies in New Haven

I mean, does it get any better than that? On Sunday, Aug. 20, The Shops at Yale will be hosting an Appetizer & Dessert Crawl from 1 to 4 p.m. to benefit the Robin I. Kroogman New Haven Animal Shelter. In addition to sampling from some of New Haven’s best restaurants, guests will be able to visit some of the dogs from the animal shelter who are available for adoption. The dogs will be on Broadway Island from noon to 4 p.m. The cost is $20, which includes free parking at the 150 York Street Garage. New Haven also offers free street parking on Sundays. Tickets are limited. As an added bonus, the event takes place during tax-free week, as if you needed more incentive to go.
