Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb

With vivid characters, a taut narrative, and an entire world completely imagined the author, this book introduces Fitz, an outcast bastard son of a prince, raised by his father’s loyal stableman. Fitz is thrust into a royal court full of people who mostly ignore him or hold him in disdain, as he struggles with his training and innate skills. If you’re waiting impatiently for George R.R.
