I loved this beautiful story of the Gilly sisters whose family have run a salt farm on Cape Cod for generations. Tragedy and family misunderstandings have created a rift between sisters Claire and Jo. Claire leaves the harsh life of the salt behind for what she thinks will be a better life with the wealthy powerful family in town. Jo is left alone after a tragic accident to carry on the farm. The pregnancy of a teen girl in town sets the course for dramatic changes.
