Grab your girlfriends for an evening of fun at the Shore Line Trolley Museum. On Thursday, June 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. the museum, at 17 River Street, East Haven, plans to celebrate girl power.

Participants will be able to make new friends and catch up with old ones during the social hour. Admission includes appetizers, beverages, and the evening’s special ambiance.

Rides will be provided on antique trolleys at sunset through the Farm River Estuary tidal marsh. Car barns will be open for tours, featuring beautifully restored trolleys from the golden era of transportation.

The 9-11 Memorial PATH car exhibit will be open. There will be plenty of opportunities for photo ops.

General admission for this event is $10 and tickets are available at the door or online at www.shorelinetrolley.org.

The Branford Electric Railway Association, founded in 1945, serves as the oldest continuously operated suburban street railway in the United States. The museum was entered into the Register of Historic Places in 1983. Museum volunteers offer tours of meticulously restored antique street railway cars and provide a multi-sensory visit with rides along approximately 1.5 miles of railway that first opened to the public on July 31, 1900. For more information on the museum or for volunteer or member opportunities, visit www.shorelinetrolley.org or call 203-467-6927.
