Six Summit Gallery Hosts Exhibitions in State Capital

Six Summit Gallery is staging back-to-back solo fine art exhibitions featuring Connecticut artist and architect Frances Maravelea in an exhibition called Capitol Structures at the Connecticut State Capitol through Friday, June 30, and at Connecticut Legislative Office Building in Hartford, also through June 30. Both buildings are at 300 Capitol Avenue, Hartford.

Maravelea studied art at several academic institutions, including the Cranbrook Academy of Art. She holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture and master’s degrees in international building project management and business administration. Her professional work has received several awards and has been featured in national publications and at the Chicago Institute of Art Museum as part of the exhibit Chicago Women in Architecture. She is also one of the co-authors of the book Project Management, Nova Publications, 2011.
