Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff

Lauren Groff has done it again. Complex characters and beautiful language set the stage for this emotional story of a marriage over decades—the ups, the downs, hopes and dreams, some dashed, some realized. The book focuses on struggling artists in a sometimes struggling marriage, wondering Kids or No Kids? Are these true friends or enemies? And what of family with ulterior motives? Just when you think it’s heading one way, Groff hits you with the Furies half of the book. Brilliant and by far one of my new all-time favorites.
