Calabro Brings Home the Prize


Congratulations to East Haven-based Calabro Cheese Corp., which just won The Specialty Food Association gold SOFI Award for its Ricotta Di Bufala and a bronze SOFI for its Organic Whole Milk Ricotta. They were picked from thousands of entries and judged by a national panel of 62 culinary experts. The company says the Ricotta di Bufala is made from the whey of the Mozzarella di Bufala and Bufala milk. The Organic Whole Milk Ricotta is made from organically certified fresh whole milk. No wonder they’re both prize winners!
