Nibbles: Somewhere in Time

Where in time had I been, I wonder. Over the years, friends have told me about breakfast and lunch at Somewhere in Time in Mystic. Yes, yes, I would say. I’ll get there. But I hadn’t until about a month ago. It is in a little strip mall. You can see people eating, but you have to walk through a narrow hallway, then take a sharp left to get into the restaurant. I haven’t tried breakfast yet, but I dream about lunch. I have had a chicken sandwich on many-grained bread. The many-beaned and veggie salads are incredibly good. Last week I had a special sandwich of panko-coated (but thinly coated) fresh cod. Tables and chairs look like the kitchen I grew up in. Don’t wait as long as I did to try it.
