30 Mile Brewing Company at 39 Ragged Rock Road in Old Saybrook is hosting a Family Day on Sunday, May 7 from noon to 4 p.m. in support of Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut.

The family-friendly event will feature sidewalk chalk, board games, and a bean bag toss outside, weather permitting. Attendees are invited to bring their own food.

All proceeds from 30 Mile Brewing Company’s special 10-gallon batch of Ronald’s Pale Ale will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut.

For more than 30 years, the Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut (RMHCT) has opened its doors as a home away from home for families and their critically ill children who are receiving life-saving medical care in greater New Haven.

The cost for RMHCT to provide accommodations and accompanying services to a family is $100 a night. While it’s suggested families contribute $15 a night, more than 63 percent of families served in 2016 were unable to afford even this modest fee. No family is ever turned away due to its inability to pay. Thanks to those who supported RMHCT last year, RMHCT was able to provide 2,753 nights of services to families in need.
