Save the Date: Duck Race at the Pattaconk

The Pattaconk1850 Bar & Grille at 33 Main Street in Chester has set the date for its fourth annual Music Fest and Duck Race. The festivities will kick off Friday, April 28 with music from a local band at 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. and there will be more music on Saturday and Sunday. The duck race is at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 and Robert Galbraith, the manager, says the goal this year is 1,000 ducks, up from 600 last year. All proceeds will go to the local Rotary club, to support scholarships and other programs. Prizes will be given for first place, second place, and last place. Participants and spectators can order off the menu, which is packed with pub favorites including nachos, chicken wings, “chowda,” burgers, and an extensive hot dog menu that includes Pattaconk Dogs (grilled topped with American cheese, grilled onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and bacon), a chili cheese dog, hickory dogs, beer battered German dogs, and “Double Dogs,” “two naked dogs, that’s it folks.” For more information, visit the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Pataconk1850/ or call them at 860-526-8143
