Making Easy Even Easier

Any self-respecting cook knows that crock pot meals are a great way to get dinner on the table quickly in the evening. The problem can be the set-up in the morning, which can require planning ahead, and chopping, and sometimes even pre-cooking some of the ingredients. Bishop’s Orchard Farm Market has introduced some new items that make easy crock pot cooking even easier with slow cooker meals in a bag. Erica DeNuzzo from Bishop’s say they are packaged fresh at the farm market, and have all the ingredients included with the exception of Half & Half for the Potato Soup, and the dumplings for the Chicken & Dumplings. Other flavors include Chicken Cacciatore, Pork Pot Roast, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Beef Stew, Texas Pulled Pork, Pepper Steak, and Chicken Creole. “All you have to do is place it into a crock pot and follow instructions for cook duration. They are selling extremely well, especially the Beef Stew and Chicken & Dumpling,” DeNuzzo says. “Look out for a Corned Beef & Cabbage for St. Patrick’s Day.” Bishop’s Orchards Farm Market is at 1355 Boston Post Road, Guilford. —Pem McNerney
