On Saturday, March 4, Natureworks will present a day-long series of classes entitled “Be(e) the Change You Wish to See in the World: Helping Pollinators.” Starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m., Nancy DuBrule-Clemente and the Natureworks staff will provide participants with the information and tools to begin planning landscapes to protect and increase populations of pollinators such as bees and butterflies.

Participants will learn about native pollinators and what types of landscapes they need to survive and thrive and how to create an insect hotel and a mini-meadow, and find out what plants are larval food for Connecticut butterflies.

Walk-ins are welcome the day of class. Registration forms are available at www.naturework.com.

Classes will be held at the Zion Episcopal Church, 326 Notch Hill Rd., North Branford.
