Resetting at Wright’s

With the addition of live music, craft beers, and an emphasis on a family friendly, casual vibe, Wright’s in Centerbrook is hitting the reset button. Photo courtesy of Wright’s

Having recently had drinks and dinner at Wright’s Steakhouse in 78 Main Street, Centerbrook, my dining companion and I were pleased with the food, the service, and the ambiance. So I was interested to learn they are hitting the reset button, a little less than a year after opening. The new name and theme will be Wright’s Bar & Wood-fire Grill. The new menu “will have lots of classics with some fun new twists.” The new decor will include local photography, comfy pillows, and “several cool new activities.” There also will be a full sports line-up on TV, along with live music Thursdays through Saturdays. And for those of you who are fashion forward, “fashion shows by local designers.” Even better, the new pricing promises to be a bit lower, and geared toward family dinners. But it’ll still be a great place for date night, with new cocktails on a new bar menu. Sound like fun? The grand reopening is Thursday, Feb. 16.
