The George Flynn Classical Concerts is hosting the Masters of Hawaiian Music on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. at Andrews Memorial Town Hall, 54 East Main Street, Clinton.

Four-time Grammy-winner and slack key guitar virtuoso George Kahumoko, Jr., will take the stage with slack key guitarist Kawika Kahiapo and multi-instrumentalist Nathan Aweau to perform a distinctly Hawaiian style of open tunings, along with stories, and light-hearted entertainment.

Known as Hawaii’s Renaissance Man, Kahumoku is also a multiple Na Hoku Hanohano (Hawaiian Grammy) Award winner, a vocalist, storyteller, songwriter and author, teacher, sculptor, farmer, and chef. A talented multi-instrumentalist, Aweau has been part of such award-winning groups as HAPA and The Ali’i. His seven solo CDs have won multiple Na Hoku Awards, including Male Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year. Slack key guitarist Kahiapo won two Na Hoku Awards in 2015 for Slack Key Guitar Album of the Year and Island Album of the Year.
