Madison Lyric Stage Seeking Singers, Actors for Upcoming Season

Madison Lyric Stage is seeking singers and actors for Coward’s Blithe Spirit in April, Verdi’s Otello in June, and Webber and Rice’s Jesus Christ Superstar in July.

On Saturday, Jan. 28 from 1 to 5 p.m., there will be auditions for singers for Otello and Superstar. On Sunday, Jan. 29 from 2 to 6 p.m., there will be auditions for non-Equity actors for Blithe Spirit.

The auditions will be at the Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Society, 297 Boston Post Road, Madison.

The following roles are filled, but there will be understudy assignments for all leading roles, as well as opportunities in our chorus and our apprentice program: For Blithe Spirit in April, Charles, Madame Arcati, and Edith are cast; for Otello in June, Otello, Desdemona, Iago, Lodovico, Roderigo, and Emilia are cast; and for Jesus Christ Superstar in July, Jesus and Judas are cast.

Compensation is dependent on the performer’s level of experience.
