Moonglow by Michael Chabon

I don’t know how much of this story is true and how much is made up, but it doesn’t matter, it’s simply great storytelling. Michael Chabon’s grandfather is a larger than life kind of guy with an intelligence, a curiosity, and a temperament that leads him into one tragicomic adventure after another. There are many juicy bits, and Chabon’s turns of phrase are a joy to chew even if you can’t swallow the whole thing!
