An Evening of Inspiration

The Madison Happiness Club presents two inspiring speakers on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. at Scranton Memorial Library.

Both speakers will share their stories on how they were able to deal with two separate, but very difficult life circumstances, and not only make their lives better, but use what they went through to help others.

Yezenia Lebron is an alumni of New Reach Shelter in New Haven. She was homeless, experiencing extreme depression, and self medicating with substances. She is currently working as an intake coordinator at CASA in New Haven, a chemical abuse services agency.

Laura Furey had her life change dramatically after being diagnosed with what she thought was a simple case of mono. Her health declined for years and her illness led to hospitalizations and becoming wheelchair- and eventually bed-bound. She learned about many avenues of healing and learned to look for and find joy in the face of suffering.

The Madison Happiness Club is free and open to all. For more information, contact Tina Garrity at ting45@aol.com.
