Project: Music Heals Us Presents The Haunted

Now in its second season, Project: Music Heals Us, the classical chamber music series on the Connecticut shoreline, presents its season two opening concert on Friday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. at the Madison First Congregational Church, 26 Meeting House Lane in Madison.

A pre-concert talk will begin at 6 p.m.

Violinist Tessa Lark, pianist David Fung, and cellist Marcy Rosen will be joined by soprano Faylotte Crayton and violist Molly Carr to perform a program entitled The Haunted comprised of works by Ravel, Schubert, Bolcom, and Brahms. Lark is a Naumburg and Indianapolis International Violin Competitions’ top prize-winner. Fung is a Queen Elisabeth and Arthur Rubinstein Competitions’ top prize-winner and Steinway Artist. Rosen is a Naumburg Prize laureate and on the faculty at the Mannes and Aaron Copland Schools in New York City. Crayton and Carr are Juilliard School graduates.

Tickets at the door are $20 for adults and $5 for students, with all proceeds directly subsidizing additional Healing Concerts played in local nursing homes, hospitals, hospices, homeless shelters, and prisons.

Project: Music Heals Us seeks to bring the highest caliber of chamber music from the most celebrated venues in New York to Guilford and Madison.
