Pizza and Piano Party June 27

Gourmet pizza prepared in a wood-fired, brick oven, followed by a vintage wine tasting and a twilight musical performance by the Don Trenner Trio with special guest Chris DePino will highlight this year’s Hosting for History event sponsored by the Old Saybrook Historical Society, 350 Main Street, on Saturday, June 27 from 5 to 9 p.m.

A large assortment of silent auction items will include golf and lunch for four at the Old Lyme Country Club, a wine tasting for 20, Pasta Vita dinners, and a five-course candlelight dinner and wine for six at the General William Hart House.

Also offered for auction are an enchanting hearthside dinner and music for six at the Elder Bushnell House and Farm, a painting by local artist Diane Aldi, an artistic photograph by local and New York photographer Robert Lorenz, and several baskets of goods and services from local businesses.

Sponsors of this evening’s activities include Adelmann’s Tire and Auto, Essex Financial Services-David LaMay, Saybrook Recycle Furniture, Shore Discount Liquors of Deep River, Jean Cowles, John Aldi, and Matthew and Hadas Rubin.
