Wednesday, May 20: Westbrook Lobster in Clinton presents a Beer Pairing Dinner with Stony Creek Beer at 6:30 p.m. The menu includes Stony Creek’s Dock Time, Cranky, Snowhole, Little Cranky, Sun Juice, and Crimsang, paired with IPA shrimp ceviche, French onion soup with Gruyère cheese, lemon-caper seared scallops with zucchini noodles, chili-lime swordfish tacos with grapefruit-avocado salsa and asparagus with Sun Juice vinaigrette, and blood orange and poppy seed sorbet with candied blood oranges. Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31: It’s the New Haven Food Truck Festival on the Long Wharf waterfront. Stop by between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday and between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday to enjoy the best of the area’s street food. This is a family-friendly event featuring live music, children’s activities, and more. Rides are provided by Marenna Amusements. Tickets are $5 per person and are free for children aged 17 and younger. Proceeds will fund micro loans and provide other financial assistance to New Haven’s emerging small business entrepreneurs.
