Con Brio Youth Choir Auditions Ahead

Auditions for the Con Brio Choral Youth Choir are on Saturdays, Feb. 2 and 9 at Community Music School (CMS), 90 Main Street, Centerbrook. Auditions should be scheduled by calling CMS at 860-767-0026. Upon acceptance, there is a $25 registration fee. Rehearsals begin Saturday, March 9 and continue on Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. through April 20 (no rehearsal March 30). Two additional dress rehearsals are scheduled for April 23 and 25 at Christ the King Church in Old Lyme from 6:30 to 8 pm.

The Con Brio Youth Choir is a three-part choir that brings together young voices-students in grades 3 through 8-from throughout the community to perform John Rutter's "Mass of the Children" at Con Brio's spring concert on Sunday, April 28.

Feltes has been working with children for more than 30 years. She has directed the Children's Choirs at First Congregational Church of Old Lyme for the past 12 years, is director of Saint Nickolas Songsters for Make We Joy, and presently teaches general/vocal music for at the preschool-through-grade 8 levels in Preston Public Schools.
