Community Music School Music Director Tom Briggs will perform a tribute to legendary drummer Max Roach.

On Sunday, Nov. 11, members of the Community Music School (CMS) faculty come together to perform an array of chamber music and other works at 4 pm at the Centerbrook Meetinghouse, 51 Main Street, Centerbrook. A meet-and-greet reception immediately follows.

Among those scheduled are Tom Briggs, performing a tribute to legendary drummer Max Roach; cellist Christine Coyle, performing Rachmaninoff's Vocalise with piano accompaniment by Audrey Estelle; and Russ Becker, performing an original composition for clarinet, flute, and bassoon with colleagues. Other performers include Pamela Dubey Allen (flute), Lisa Gray (violin), Johanna Lamb (oboe), Marilyn Lazare (piano), Matthew McCauley (bass), Samantha Talmadge (voice), Neal Fitzpatrick (guitar), and Stephen Roane (guitar). The concert and reception are free and open to the public; at-will donations are gratefully accepted.
