2012 Bauer Series Kicks Off


On Saturdays this month, the Friends of Hammonasset and St. Andrew's Church present the 2012 Bauer Series. All programs start at 10 a.m. and are held at St. Andrew's Church, 232 Durham Road, Madison, unless otherwise noted.

Feb. 4: Live bird presentation by Christine Cummings-Secki and Todd Secki of A Place Called Hope

Feb. 18: 'Exotic & Tropical Creatures' presented by Bridgeport's Beardsley Zoo

Feb. 25: Guided geology and Native American land use hike led by Gary Nolf of the World Atlatl Association and Don Rankin, Meigs Point Nature Center docent. Meet at Meigs Point Nature Center. There will also be an Archaeology Roadshow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Nature Center that day; bring artifacts for identification.

All programs are free, open to the public, and appropriate for all ages. Refreshments are served. For more information, call 203-245-9192.
