We visited with Elaine Parisi, owner of Possessions in Branford, to gather the beautiful options you see here and create some guidelines to make dressing for work in the summer a breeze:
Layer up. You'll need to be able to go from meat-locker-cold air conditioning to hair-curling heat! A fitted jacket with a floral camisole underneath is perfect for looking put together at the office and sexy when you dash out for drinks at the end of the day.
Be colorful. Bring the beauty of summer inside with bright colors, floral prints, stripes, and polka dots. Don't be afraid to mix patterns and try new colors.
Break the rules. While you should steer clear of obvious beachwear like flip flops and crop tops, summer office dressing is decidedly more casual than other seasons. Jumpers, culottes, or a sassy micro-purse can enliven any office outfit.
