Bourbon and Apple Cider Cocktail
A good bourbon can be consumed in a number of ways. If you're so inclined, pour it straight into a glass and drink it neat or on the rocks. If the idea of drinking it straight is just too much though, a quality bourbon blends well into a number of cocktails.
2 oz. Apple cider, chilled
1 oz. Bourbon
2 oz. Ginger ale or ginger beer, chilled
Apple slices for garnish
Combine the cider and bourbon in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake until very cold. To serve a crowd, combine these two ingredients in a pitcher and refrigerate for at least an hour. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice and top with the chilled ginger ale. Stir gently. Garnish with an apple slice and serve.
