Interviewer and author Dick Cavett received the inaugural Spirit of Katharine Hepburn award at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center's annual Summer Gala on Saturday, Aug. 27. The award is to be bestowed yearly upon an individual who embodies the spirit, independence, and character of the legendary actress. The gala was held on the Old Saybrook Town green and featured dinner, cocktails, live and silent auctions, and music by The Eturnity Band.
