Valley Regional High School held itþÄôs final dress rehearsal for their spring musical, Matilda, by Roald Dahl, produced and directed by Ingrid Walsh, orchestrations and additional music by Chris Nightingale, music direction by Keith and Laura Traver, coreography by Tessa Grunwald.  This was their last performance due to the schoolþÄôs extended recess due to the Covid - 19  virus. Valley Production of ‘Matilda’ Canceled by COVID Closure

The Valley Regional High School Crew Team held a Row-A-Thon to raise money for the team.  Each of the students got sponsors for their 5K rowing effort, with Adams Supermarket contributing food and snacks.  There is a website for anyone who would like to find out more about the team as well as contribute that missed this fundraiser and it can be found at VRHSCREW.org Ryce Libby and her teammates row 5K.

High Nine Brewery bartender Spencer Waldron pours a draft. The brewery is named after Waldron who lost a finger in his youth. He's known for giving high nines rather than a hgh fives.

The High Nine Brewery opened their doors mid- November 2019.  They offer a diverse tap list and are open Wednesdays through Sundays.

The rainy weather didnþÄôt stop the festivities at the annual Holiday Stroll and Light Parade in downtown Deep River on Saturday, December 14, 2019. There was a tree lighting, parade, caroling, free cookies and hot chocolate, open shops and restaurants with specials and treats, fire performers, a find the Holiday Moose Contest, and a meet and greet with Santa. Food and drinks were served while live music was being played by students and local musicians. All food or money donations benefited the Deep River Food Pantry. A Water Lantern Celebration was held Saturday evening at Plattwood Park in Deep River with food, live music, a campfire, and the launching of hand decorated floating lanterns, with proceeds going to benefit A Little Compassion (ALC) a non-profit seeking to change the lives of young adults with autism, or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
