The Scandinavian United Society of Deep River held its annual Golf Tournament and Outdoor Barbecue on June 8 to support the ongoing activities of the club. President Mike Riley announced that part of the proceeds would go to assist the local Deep River Food Pantry, which provides groceries and funds for food to help local citizens in need. "Swede Club" Vice President Tim Haut presented the check for $805 to Rosie Bininger, Deep River Director of Social Services, to help restock the community pantry, which is located in the Youth Services Building on High Street.
