Each month, a different Essential Life Skills class will be offered to teenagers, providing information and practical skill-building to increase competency and confidence in important foundational life skills. All classes are taught by expert professionals from our community, and most classes can accommodate parent attendance. High school students can pick and choose from nine classes: Car Maintenance, Financial Literacy, Employment Skills, Basic Safety & Emergencies, Problem Solving, Healthy & Budget-Friendly Cooking, Household Maintenance, Health & Wellness, and Citizenship.
First up is Employment Skills, which will address the following: searching for a job, applying for a job, interview preparation and skills, interpersonal skills, professionalism, and effective communication.
