Roger Tory Peterson Estuary Center is offering Summer Camp 2019. Registration begins on-line starting February 12th at www.ctaudubon.org, or email Heather at Hkordula@ctaudubon.org. The weekly summer camp with be from June 24th till August 2nd, and will be at the Lyme-Old Lyme High School, 69 Lyme Street, Old Lyme. Each week will cost $340, discount for holiday week. Give young explores a chance to see where science, nature and art converge with fun. Campers will have access to 300 acres including wetlands, upland forest, and the Duck River. While each session has a natural science focus, your child will be busy discovering creatures, critters and plants, making new friends and enjoying outdoor activities. Campers age 5-11 will be divided into age-appropriate groups with hands-on curriculum tailored to meet each child’s interest and skills. Expect your child to return with earthy fingers and toes and tips for good conservation habits. Weekly tuition includes an off-site excursion. Weekly camp titles include: Nature Explorers, Fantastic Flyers, Wetland Scientists, Insect Investigators, Amazing Adaptations, & Art and Science Discovery. Before care available.
Camp sessions enrollments are limited, so be sure to sign up early!
Campers must bring water bottle, snack and lunch daily.
Campers must have completed Kindergarten by June 2019 to participate.
Junior Counselors: Students ages 15-18 are welcome to become Junior Counselors for Connecticut Audubon Society’s Summer Camps, assisting experienced staff in working with campers.
