Please join us at Mercy Retreat and Conference Center for presentation, conversation and individual reflection on Rumi's poetry path to deep, passionate divine love. During this 3 day event we will explore Rumi as an example of Islamic mystical poetry, in a way that challenges many of our commonly held ideas about Islam and Muslims. We are honored to have as our facilitator Omid Safi, a leading Muslim public intellectual and Director of the Duke Islamic Studies Center. Omid has appeared frequently in the NY Times, Newsweek, Washington Post, PBS, NPR, NBC, and CNN. All are welcome.
